Foi divulgado na terça-feira, 4, a lista dos animados indicados para a 35ª edição do Annie Awards, cerimônia que premia os maiores destaques do ano no mundo da animação.
A animação da Disney/PIXAR, "Ratatouille", liderou as indicações, recebendo um total de 13, incluindo a principal categoria, a de Melhor Filme de Animação. Além dessa, o animado também foi indicado nas categorias de direção, roteiro, animação de personagens, efeitos de animação (duas indicações), design de produção, produção de storyboards, design de personagens, música e atuações vocais (três indicações).
Logo atrás do longa-metragem de animação do ratinho que deseja se tornar um grande chefe de cozinha, vem os pingüins surfistas da Sony, "Tá Dando Onda". O longa recebeu dez indicações nas categorias de filme, efeitos animados, artistas de produção da animação, animação de personagens (duas indicações), design de personagens e direção. Além desses, animados como "Bee Movie: A História de uma Abelha" da DreamWorks, "Persépolis" também da Sony e "Os Simpsons: O Filme"da Fox, também receberam uma boa quantidade de indicações.
A animação "A Família do Futuro" recebeu apenas duas indicações, enquanto o personagem símbolo da DreamWorks, Shrek, conseguiu apenas uma indicação na nova aventura "Shrek Terceiro".
